Copyleft Licensing
Copyleft takes the normal laws of copyright - which are normally used by producers to prevent reuse of work and keep customers coming back to them - and uses them to encourage responsible reproduction and reuse, promoting their name and building a reputation with the largest possible audience. This has many potential benefits, depending on the work, including increased bookings and larger takings.
Copyleft "reverses" copyright: instead of placing restrictions on recipients, it gives them freedoms normally denied them by traditional publishers. It offers readers, listeners, or users the possibility of sharing and enjoying with people they care about, in exchange for respecting the wish that they should offer those people the same possibility.
